A seagull's farewell on Brighton seafront in November 1999
Seagulls in Brighton, like pigeons in London, are more popular with tourists than residents. The herring gull used to live on cliffs, eat fish and generally get on with its life without troubling anyone else. Now moved to a more urban habitat, it will fearlessly nick a burger out of your hands and then crap all over your head. This is not the world of Tweety-Pie. The online library cannot provide classic ornithological photography, but it does have some interesting pictures of birds.
