Jesus Army buses with Brighton's St Bartholomew church in the background in March 2001
The Church of England, with its marvellous architectural heritage, may now be in decline, but there are many other religions whose numbers are growing. Cities in Europe, especially Britain, have an increasingly rich assortment of churches, chapels, mosques, synagogues and temples. Religious life is centred on these buildings, whose exteriors and interiors are often very visually interesting. Images Brighton has a wide choice of pictures of different places and forms of worship.
