A small town in Normandy in August 2001
Few countries are loved by foreigners as much as France and not many nations are regarded so critically by others as the French. The British, in particular, have a love-hate relationship with their cousins across the Channel that goes back a thousand years. Something that most people would agree on, however, is that France is an endlessly photogenic place and that the French contribution to photography is second to none. Cities, villages and landscapes, the culture, the history and the people - all are great for pictures. Images Brighton has a growing collection, especially of Paris and Normandy, and it is being enlarged during the coming year.
