Spring brings happiness to most people as the flowers come out and the days start to warm up again after winter. It is also, unfortunately, a time when the suicide rate rises, perhaps because the depressed find the joy of others makes their own feelings even more unbearable. Whether happy or sad, however, this is a period when colours are fresh and the light can be very beautiful.
