Floods in Lewes in Sussex in September 2000
Water is likely to be as important in the current century as oil has been during the last one. Too much of it in some places, too little in others and more risk everywhere of it being polluted. The crowded south-east of England is already affected by water shortages and major projects and policy changes will be necessary to remedy them Images Brighton has a growing selection of pictures to illustrate this important contemporary subject.
