Graffiti are unregulated public messages, originally written or drawn in chalk on walls. There's still plenty of that, but contemporary messages come in a much wider range of styles and methods. An interesting recent trend, at least in Brighton and London, is the use of printed stickers. These are stuck on everything from street signs to advertising posters and they promote political campaigns, music events, personal grievances and much more. The example below is an amusingly subversive one from back in 1994, but most of the rest in this week's picture set have been seen in the past year.
