The 30th London to Brighton bike ride took place on Sunday 19th June. Around 27,000 cyclists rode from Clapham Common to the coast on the hottest day of the year so far and they expected to raise £3 million for the British Heart Foundation. The fittest riders, as usual, swept onto the seafront in time for breakfast, but many participants were still arriving, rather hot and bothered, in the early evening. Besides its sheer size, it's the variety of both riders and bikes that gives this event such charm and character. Images Brighton has many pictures of earlier rides, but this year the focus is on the cycles rather than the cyclists. As you will see, there's a lot of colour and visual interest in bicycle parts.
