This week's pictures come from the Ace Cafe Bikers Run that gathered on Brighton seafront on Sunday 11th September. A marvellous event, this huge rally of motorcyclists (and scooter riders) gets bigger every year. This time there were so many that thousands of bikers had to park up all along the front to Hove and the main road into Brighton was blocked for ten miles. It says a lot for the maturity of the participants that the day saw hardly any accidents or crime. Old rockers enjoyed themselves alongside grey-haired mods and stalls sold oil paintings of ancient battles between them. There were plenty of young people as well, but this was above all a glorious celebration of the British biker tradition. Next year's rally will find it hard to top this one.
