This week takes a light look at the subject of men and drink. Few things are more enjoyable and life-enhancing than a good pint of beer or a decent glass of wine. The paradox is that drink also risks being as much a curse as a blessing. Winston Churchill, a man for whom drink was as necessary as food, said "I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me". Would that we could all honestly say the same. Drink can be a demon, but it would be a tragedy if the health fascists were to ever try to ban it. As this week's pictures show, most men are very happy with their drink and should be allowed their pleasure. If you enjoy this set, you might like to see the earlier ones featuring men and boats, men and cars, men and dogs and men and food. Any suggestions for others on this theme are welcome.
