This week's pictures come from the Pioneer motorcycle run that arrived on Brighton seafront on March 19th. This event, now in its 68th year, is exclusively for motorbikes built before 1915. Some of their riders are of an almost similar vintage and the journey down from Tattenham Corner on Epsom Downs is made easier for both them and their machines if there's some sunshine and a following wind. The sun did shine this year and it was warmer on the seafront than inland, enabling several thousand people to spend a happy afternoon inspecting the veteran motorbikes. Their owners have now taken them back to their garages all over the country and, with luck, they will all still be in condition to come back again next year.
