The picture set this week features the Ace Cafe Bikers Rally that took place on Brighton seafront back in September 2000. This event has been growing every year since it started in 1994 and brings thousands of motorcyclists and their fans down to the coast from North London. The rally six years ago was blessed with fine weather and the bikers had all afternoon to socialise and inspect each other's machines. The air was heavy with exhaust fumes, the River Boys played rock n' roll from a purpose-built stage and the bars and caffs did a roaring trade. It was a good day to be in Brighton.
