Brighton seafront in June is the picture feature this week. This library has thousands of pictures showing the delights (and otherwise) of Brighton's seafront and beach, but that is certainly no reason to stop adding more. The great thing about this location is that there's always more to see. It's a completely different place on a hot weekend than on an overcast Monday or Tuesday. Every year the fashions are different, new restaurants and attractions appear - and the West Pier sinks further into the sea. Life on Brighton seafront may be a timeless pursuit of pleasure in some respects, but it is also always very contemporary. Often relentlessly so. There are few better windows on Britain today than these few miles of brick, tarmac and pebbles.
