Wakehurst Place and gardens in Sussex
Today's pictures of the week are of Wakehurst Place, the Sussex estate run by the Royal Botanical Gardens as a lesser known adjunct to their more famous centre at Kew. This is a beautiful and interesting place all the year round, its collection of trees one of the best in the country. It is also now the home of the Millennium Seed Bank, a project to preserve as much as possible of the world's flora in seed form.
