Shoreham Air Show 2003
Shoreham in West Sussex is the oldest operating civil airport in England and its annual air show is an event of great variety and growing popularity. Aircraft from First World War triplanes to a very noisy Harrier jump-jet flew for a crowd that included many veterans of the Royal Air Force. One of the most appealing - and unmilitary - displays was by a Frenchman called Christian Mellec who flies a flimsy micro-light accompanied by a flock of geese he has trained to see him as the head goose. The ten pictures in this set were all taken on Sunday 31st August 2003.
